Got to make drastic haircuts to share some locks of hair with a company who creates wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatments

A new boy moved into town and on his first day Zeke offered to help him at school

Not really a story here, but there was trash laying in the lot, I picked it up and discarded it into the trash.

Had a lot of help from my ladies, but we were able to declutter some closets and help restore peace

I met Kelly and her dog Watson while running.

I gave away a food package sealer to a non-profit organization so they could use it to package bakery items and sell them to benefit youth and children.

Helped Pres gray clear leftover trash from construction.

Brynna went out on splits with the sisters and brought them home for a delicious dinner with us

Help the people at the table next to us clean up some spilled drinks. Ended up having a great conversation with them about kids and life. Good things come from small kindnesses. :)

Stopped to help a young man on the side of the road with a flat tire. Unfortunately, our wrench didn’t fit his lug nuts, but hopefully we provided some emotional support and make sure he was set for some roadside assistance.

I love having conversations with the people in the smoothie shop. Every time I go in, I make a point chat them up and catch up with what is going on with them.

I invited my new friend to attend church with us.

Someone seemed to be struggling to fill a tire with air and we stopped to see if she needed help.

We were so so grateful to many friends celebrating our baby with us. We felt so much support from many people helping prepare and put it on, the thoughtful and kind words, the many hugs and expression of love.

Had some support from David, who helped deliver said speaker to the event.

Got to support a dear friend at the funeral service of her husband, and was so grateful to have learned so much about her and her family by being there.

Helped others feel comfortable at a gathering where I only knew a few people. Made some great connections and was able to learn some fun things about my new friends

I like to browse the Buy Nothing Merrimack site on Facebook and see what others are in search of that I may have to give away. A woman was looking for tablecloths for an upcoming 50th Anniversary celebration. I reached out to her and told her I didn't have tablecloths, but I did have a beautiful carved candle centerpiece from my parents' 50th. She was thrilled to receive it, and I was happy to relive a few happy moments.

Her aunt said it was one of the best gifts received all year.

I reached out to a friend who recently moved into an apartment and has no garden space and gave her some of our tomatoes.

A dear friend was struggling with anger at her spouse and frustration with her mother. I let her vent and get it all off her chest.

I delivered clothing donations and trash to the dump. I helped with organizing and packing.

A lady walked onto the T in Boston carrying multiple large bags full of groceries, and she was visibly extremely tired and breathing very heavily. She was getting off at the same stop as I was, and she let me carry two of her three bags out of the station to the side of the road where she was getting picked up.

We dropped cookies off to our friend who is homebound and stayed to visit with her .

Our family took brownies to our new neighbors and met their family.

My son mowed our neighbor's lawn again.

I am downsizing a bit, so I am finding new homes for some of my kitchen treasures.

Since this program started I have looked for ways to express sincere thanks for things people have done, whether at the store, at work or at home. This is to log all those instances. Most recent was at a pizza place. I ordered two slices to go. He stacked them in the box ins. Way so they didn’t smash into each other. It was the first time someone at this place had done that. I thanked him and his face light up. Small thing but it made him smile brightly

I met Mike and Jennifer while running. We had a lovely conversation about travel and retirement.

Two new friends attended our Sacrament meeting today. Jarod and his son Dawson. I sat next to them and got to know them.

They planted flower and plants from their cousins funeral along the path at a community park.

I helped my friend at her sons wedding.

A woman who was living out of her car and needed some financial help. Filled her tank of gas in an effort to not turn away those in need.

I have a coworker that normally eats alone. I asked him if he wanted to join me for lunch and we had a good time talking about the challenges of caring for our aging parents.

I babysat for a friend during her son’s rehearsal dinner.

Neighbor and I were talking, he brought up some frustration and I was able to provide some insight he hadn’t thought of. He kept thanking me after the fact.

I gave away a lawn mower and leaf blower to a family with young men who were starting a lawn care business.

We attended a Summer concert in our town and supported our local fire department and Library, sponsors .

This lady is kinda "prickly" so I wasn't looking forward to the interaction. But it went well, she was very grateful, and I left feeling uplifted.

In the 4 years that brother small has been the gardener at the temple, he hasn't had any regular volunteers. We are going to change that! He said we saved him about 3 days' work!

While I was throwing away trash, an "older" person next to me was picking up a mess of trash that was behind his vehicle - he was having a hard time picking it up - I went over and cleaned up the mess with him

A friend recently started a new job after 20 years at her previous employer. She was nervous and a little overwhelmed. I sent her a note wishing her well and offering support if I could be of assistance. She responded with happiness and relief, knowing she had people in her corner.

I found this recipe online when I was searching for something kid friendly. I’ve since had the opportunity to make it several times, and everyone I’ve made it for asks for the recipe.

We had a wonderful two-hour talk over breakfast and shared some really deep emotional topics. I felt such an overwhelming love for her!

I was pleasantly surprised to have all of them smile back! One in particular seemed to be having a hard day. She looked a little confused at first, then offered a tentative smile in return. Warmed my heart 😊

I love to serve when I can, and introducing a family I don’t know very well to one of our favorite comfort foods is a win/win because my family gets to enjoy it as well!

Had my friend and her little girls come over for a playdate! I sent them home with fresh picked blueberries and homemade salsa.

This person has been going through extremely hard times. She was laid off from her job about 11 months ago. She has diligently been working on job applications, but it’s having a hard time finding something in her field.

We shared a meal with people we love from church! We got to cook together and talk about Jesus and play games! We find strength and joy in shared faith and friendship.

My son mowed our neigbor's lawn. She is an older woman who's husband died of cancer about 5 years ago. She calls us the "elves" for things like this, as we also shovel her snow in the winter. My son did a great job mowing the lawn!

I have a coworker whom I know but have never had a conversation with, over the last 8 years. We ran into each other at a pizza place, both going to pick up some lunch. I struck up a conversation and we had a great chat about pizza. Since then we have greeted each other and engaged in small talk whenever we see each other in the office.

We had a sweet elderly friend who has lost her husband over for lunch. We played music, ate root beer floats and talked and laughed. What a blessing for both of us!

Met Michelle in Springville Utah - in a community my kids live in. She was wood carving on her front step. We encountered her on a walk through the neighborhood. I went back after the walk was over and went to the trash site, she was still on her step, so I went to meet her and talk to her about her woodcarving. She had just started doing woodcarving , but is an artist and loves this. She’d told me all about woodcarving while I ask her questions. We talked again on June 21, she offered tips

My elderly neighbor needed a ride to his cardiac rehab, which then required an ER visit. Afterwards we went and picked up his prescriptions.

Ran to tell neighbor his windows were down as the rain storm started. He was very grateful that he wasn’t going to have to deal with water damage. Even said. You are the neighbor a guy can get used to having around! lol

Invitation to a consistent, simple act of kindness towards a good neighbor. He was grateful and is taking me up on the offers tomorrow.

Got to support my daughter in attending a temple session at the Boston, Connecticut, and Montreal temples over a 3 day time frame to help her do work for our ancestors and to help her see the majesty of God’s temples

He thought we worked there and waited until we were done checking out to use the same kiosk we were using. As we turned to leave, he asked if we could help him. That’s when we pieced it together and quickly started scanning and bagging his items for him and walking him through how to pay!

I shared so many blueberries from picking them with my kids with many friends and neighbors.

At a town July 4th celebration, we made friends with couple parked next to us in the parking lot. Great laughs, good conversation, 45 minutes worth. Shared family photos, became fast friends, gave them a lead to get Maple Syrup from our friends in Vermont.
