Providing support

Our next door neighbor takes care of her elderly brother w/ special needs and used to visit the emergency room quite often. One particular day she needed help moving her brother from her car back to their house and asked my husband for help. Her brother recently passed away. When we found out my young children express how worried they are for this neighborhood. We visit her and brought flowers and check on her almost daily and invite her to sit and chat when we are outside.

My family invited a cousin from my dad side side to have pizza lunch after church, in the main time the missionaries also came.

We shared funny experiences from our childhood. We also told about trials we had experienced while working, going to school, running a business and trying to keep up with our church callings. The spirit was there, I am personally grateful for that experience!

Offered help in a power outage, comforted children and connected with parents.

Power went out, I went out to the hallway to reset the power incase it just tripped and saw a young boy scared and crying. He was alone and I offered comfort as I could tell he was autistic. I got the parent permission and offered light and introduced him to my kids. He calmed down and came repeatedly to my apartment when he got scared during the power outage. His mom came home a while later and thanked me. We connected and she is now pending to go to church. Lovely experience.
